What we did
- Dug out along the front of the house, with orange safety fence around the excavation
- Built the porch on a new concrete foundation with a pressure-treated sill
- Framed the porch posts, beams and roof across the front of the house
- Wrapped the wall behind the porch in Tyvek house wrap
- Closed in the right end of the porch with wood sheathing
